located at Baylys Beach on the west coast of
Northland, New Zealand, a 10 minute drive from the
town of Dargaville and 2½ hours drive north of
Auckland. The business is operated by Aaron Sherman, a
lifelong surfer and qualified Surfing New Zealand
coach.

Beginner lessons
begin with a safety briefing regarding the dangers of
surfing and current safety guidelines, followed by
technique instruction that covers surfing basics
such as stretches, paddling, stances and standing.
Finally, you and your coach take to the water to
catch your first wave, which you can have filmed to
record the moment!
» Lesson Costs
include soft 'learner board' hire that is
specially designed for those learning to surf. Boards and wetsuits are available for hire at $40.00 per half-day.
